Datadog is seeking a cross-functional leader to manage our most critical infrastructure relationships with cloud service providers (CSPs). This newly created role will drive our global cloud expansion strategy, lead high-stakes negotiations with CSPs, and serve as the connective tissue across Engineering, Legal, Finance, Sales, and Product. This role works directly with Datadog’s C-suite and carries visibility and impact at the highest levels of the company.

The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with partners, devising negotiation strategy, digging into contract language, structuring high-stakes agreements, and leading cross-functional teams through execution. You’ll serve as Datadog’s point person for all cloud provider relationships, navigating ambiguity, surfacing critical issues, aligning stakeholders, and structuring agreements that ensure the long-term scalability of our platform. This role is central to shaping the future of Datadog’s global infrastructure and CSP relationships.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and grow Datadog’s global relationships with cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, and Azure), serving as the primary point of contact within Datadog
  • Proactively identify and lead new strategic initiatives within the CSP ecosystem, spanning co-sell, co-build, co-market, and technical collaboration opportunities with their respective Datadog executives.
  • Lead negotiation of large, multi-year cloud cost and infrastructure contracts; develop strategic negotiation playbooks and navigate cross-functional tradeoffs..
  • Drive geographic expansion strategy by developing market hypotheses, validating with external research, and collaborating with GTM teams on business case modeling.
  • Communicate regularly with executive leadership; provide clear, concise updates and recommendations at the most senior levels of the company.

Who You Are:

  • Negotiation: A sharp and strategic negotiator who can think on their feet and command respect from external partners and internal executives.
  • Technical Fluency: Comfortable working alongside Engineering and Product teams and familiar with core cloud infrastructure concepts (compute, storage, network, etc.).
  • Data Driven: Analytical and data-savvy. Able to structure business cases, generate and understand financial analyses, and drive decision-making with rigor.
  • Legal Structuring: Skilled at reading and structuring complex agreements, and partnering with legal counsel to ensure alignment with long-term needs.
  • Executive Communication: Comfortable presenting to C-level executives, and translating technical and legal jargon into the essential takeaways
  • Self-Starter: Comfortable operating independently in fluid environments and pushing projects forward across multiple teams, with limited resources and tight timelines

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits & Growth:

  • Generous and competitive benefits package
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan
  • Continuous career development and pathing opportunities
  • Employee-focused best in class onboarding
  • Internal mentor and cross-departmental buddy program
  • Friendly and inclusive workplace culture

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.
