Why we're hiring

Tracebit is helping some of the world's best security teams - Snyk, Docker, Riot Games and many more to 'assume breach' at scale. Tracebit detects intrusions in their cloud environment using canaries - decoy tripwires deployed to deceive attackers.

We're at a massive inflection point and this is a hugely exciting time to join the company:

  • We are backed by some of the best investors in the space (Accel, Tapestry and more).
  • We are growing very quickly (we doubled ARR last quarter), having recently closed some incredible customers that we can’t disclose publicly!
  • We are one of the most exciting startups to be part of in cybersecurity, have seen some great feedback from the market and are ready for explosive growth.
  • Regularly featured on top startup lists from industry veterans… Creandum’s Euro Seed top 50 list, Sifted’s 2025 London Startups To Watch, Notions Cloud Top 100, AlbionVC’s NHI Breakdown, MMCs Proactive Security Analysis, Accel’s Euroscape Top Startups 2024, etc.
  • Our research has recently helped fix a P1 security flaw in Google’s Gemini CLI.
  • We have grown the company from 2 to 14 people in 18 months, with plans to triple this in the coming year.

80% of our revenue comes from the US. We've achieved this with a small team based entirely in London. Now it's time to build our customer success function to ensure our customers achieve maximum value from our platform.

Who we’re looking for

You’ve built or been part of an early Customer or Solutions Engineering team at a cybersecurity or developer tools company. You know how to drive technical success during evaluations and ensure customers adopt products successfully post-sale.

You’re hands-on and customer-obsessed. In your first 6-12 months, you’ll personally run discovery calls, demos, and PoCs with our most strategic prospects, helping them integrate Tracebit into their environments and achieve value quickly.

You’re a technical translator. You can explain business value to concepts to CISOs and walk engineers through hands-on deployments. You’re comfortable bridging commercial goals with deep technical understanding.

You’re a builder. You’ve created demo frameworks, onboarding playbooks, and processes that scale. You know how to coach engineers to be technically excellent, customer-focused, and commercially aware.

You understand technical buyers. You’ve sold to security or DevOps teams, know how they evaluate solutions, and can tailor your approach to different audiences.

Within 12–18 months, you’ll help build and scale the team in New York.

About the role

You'll be our first customer engineering hire, building the function from the ground up.

Your core focus:

  • Drive technical wins in the sales process. Partner with Sales to run discovery calls, deliver impactful demos, and design PoCs that prove value.
  • Own onboarding and implementation. Ensure customers deploy successfully and get to production quickly.
  • Create the Customer Engineering playbook. Define how we run demos, scope PoCs, and deliver onboarding at scale.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering. Bring customer insights into roadmap discussions and help shape future features.
  • Build and lead the function. Hire and coach our first customer engineers in New York and London as we grow.
  • Spot expansion opportunities. Work with Sales to identify new use cases and drive adoption within existing accounts.

FAQs

Where is the office?

We're establishing our New York office in Manhattan. You'll work closely with our London team and other team members as we grow.

Are you doing hybrid/remote?

Short answer: No, but flexible on a day-to-day basis.

Long answer: We are building the company on a foundation of office-based culture. We think we'll build the best company at the fastest pace while having a lot of fun by physically working together 5 days a week. On a case-by-case basis (leaving early for a holiday, staying home for a builder, working remote for a few days to visit family, etc.) we're very reasonable and flexible. We respect that this is not for everyone.

What are the working hours like?

We think 9am-6pm will bring a great cadence to work. As a founding team member, there will definitely be times you need to pick up work outside of these hours, we're keen to limit this where we can but also offer flexibility in return.

Can you sponsor visas?

You must have the right to work in the US.
