Job Summary
We are looking for a Cyber Defense Operator to help protect our telecommunications network from cyber threats. In this role, you will assist in monitoring security alerts, investigating potential threats, and supporting incident response efforts. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for cybersecurity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced industry.
Responsibilities

• Triage security alerts and logs escalating suspicious activity.
• Assist in investigating and responding to potential cyber threats.
• Support vulnerability assessments and help track security risks.
• Research emerging cybersecurity threats and report findings.
• Work with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and Email protection.
• Help maintain documentation for security incidents and processes.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or relevant experience).
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related role.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles.
• Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, antivirus, firewalls) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Certifications (Preferred but not required): CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar entry-level cybersecurity certification.

The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $66,830.00 - $109,793.00 / year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter. The rates/ranges provided herein are the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and do not reflect future job opportunity.
