The role
Kin + Carta is hiring a Data Strategist. This position requires travel to work onsite in our client office in Philadelphia 3 days a week.

Our typical projects include data strategy, streaming & analytics, strategy & build, machine learning, intelligent customer experience, customer 360 transformation, data platform modernization, and connected experience data strategy. Role responsibilities
- Contribute to shaping the design of data processing architecture by providing informed insights and feedback
- Document process maps to streamline data workflows, utilizing conceptual and logical data models.
- Advising business and technical client stakeholders on the adoption of data-driven strategies to implement for achieving business goals
- Designing data strategy and multi-phased roadmap strategies for clients
- Working with designers, data architects and data engineers on the development of data solutions for large and mid level enterprise clients to enhance their business
- Helping clients implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality, and build intelligent solutions leveraging data, i.e data products
- Working with designers to help visualize data to provide insights to end-users
- Growing & maturing the Technical Product Consulting practice; the practitioners focused on defining the requirements for APIs, SDKs, and other service layer technologies
Minimum qualifications

- Certified CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
- Proficiency (can execute data ingestion to insight) in programmatic languages such as SQL, Python
- 2+ years of experience with identifying and establishing processes, platforms, tools, and capabilities to establish a data practice for governance within an organization
- 2+ years of experience with defining a vision, strategy, and driving the implementation of a data platform capability
- 5+ years of professional experience working with data in financial services, consumer, retail, health care, packaged goods, QSR, or marketing industries
- Prior experience working in an enterprise data & analytics organization in a business-facing role, preferably with a focus in product management, data science, data analytics management, architecture or enablement
- Experience translating business objectives into strategic plans defining the people, processes, and technology for the data lifecycle
- Knowledge and experience of complex principles of financial analysis, business strategy, and operating models
- Experience managing multi-faceted projects
- Comfortable, effective, and articulate when presenting to senior leadership and clients
- An experienced relationship builder who knows how to work across the business to build buy-in for data initiatives
Preferred qualifications
- Strong passion for building innovative and intelligent solutions using data
- Experience in implementing data governance frameworks, writing and documenting data quality rules and controls
- Experience with articulating to a business the art of the possible with data and technology
- Experienced relationship builder who knows how to work across the business to build buy-in for data initiatives.
- Innovator at the forefront of what's possible with data and favors experimentation over theory.
- Leader can direct data engineering and technologists as required by the target architectures.
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment or in a consulting capacity
- Experience working in financial services/asset management
Compensation
This is a full time position. The salary range offered for this position is $120,000-$150,000 annually, depending on experience.
