Advanced Analytics Supervisor

| Greater NYC Area

What You'll Do

The Supervisor, Advanced Analytics will join a fast-paced team focused on innovative, predictive, prescriptive, and custom analytics within a fast growing, dynamic company driving innovation in analytics and data-driven decision making for the healthcare industry. The Supervisor will have the opportunity to do exciting work at the intersection of healthcare and technology, performing analyses to help our customers drive better health and business outcomes. This position will report to the Director of our Advanced Analytics team.

  • Leverage cutting-edge technology and capabilities to perform advanced analytics including but not limited to:
    • Segmentation
    • Media effectiveness measurement
    • Multi-channel attribution
    • Customer profiling
    • Predictive modeling
    • Data analysis and mining large data sets for business insights
    • Media optimization and scenario planning
  • Provide analytical leadership and subject matter expertise to support internal project teams
    • Provide analytical oversight and support to analysts
    • Provide internal consulting and analytical support across teams
    • Act as a subject matter expert for advanced analytics methodologies across teams
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and client teams while working on innovative, data-driven projects
    • Identify and communicate data-driven insights and recommendations by uncovering major storylines and themes from analysis results, working closely with client services teams and senior team members
    • Assist in development of project reports and presentations
    • Communicate effectively with clients and intermediaries as projects require
  • Collaborate with team in developing analytic responses to client strategic issues, unsolved business problems, and feasibility assessments
  • Develop, apply, standardize, and improve scalable advanced analytic approaches to support new or innovative product offerings, collaborating with Analytics Products team to support development
  • Employ and develop advanced analytical and problem solving skills along with marketing and healthcare knowledge to better assist clients
    • Build expertise in client therapeutic areas and marketing initiatives
    • Participate in training and knowledge sharing efforts
    • Participate in product development efforts and company-wide initiatives

What You've Done 

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a highly analytical and data intensive role in consulting, marketing, advertising, or a startup firm (not including internships)
  • Understanding of advanced analytic and machine learning techniques, including classification (logistic regression, Random Forests, etc.) and clustering (K means, EM, etc.)
  • Experience working with healthcare data or purchase/transactional data from another industry is a plus
  • Expert at SQL and Excel; experience with R for predictive modeling; experience with Python a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with large datasets to uncover business insights
  • 4-year college degree, preferably in quantitative/technical field
