Strategic Analytics and Special Projects (SASP) is a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team at CBI. We partner closely with every team (Product, Growth, Customer Success, Finance, Events, etc.) to 1) help drive better decisions and 2) build data systems that scale.

Some recent work includes: beautiful interactive dashboards that help our CS team deliver more value to clients, financial models to drive ticket pricing strategy for events, and interests mapping for our 450K newsletter readers to boost content performance.

You must have 2 of years experience in a fast-paced business intelligence, analytics or data role. The ability to thrive in a rapidly-evolving, high-growth environment is essential.

In past work, you should have consistently shown the ability to:

  • Use SQL to design clear and scalable analysis
  • Ask thoughtful questions to get to the heart of issues
  • Build strong relationships across teams
  • Make smart assumptions to guide your analysis
  • Communicate results clearly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scope & design projects brought to you by internal stakeholders, perform the queries/analysis, and present results. Topics can include user behavior, feature adoption, content performance, email performance, etc.
  • Support large-scale, cross-team analytics and data infrastructure projects. Includes project management support, evaluating data sources & technical solutions, and communicating findings/progress.
  • Improve and expand reporting & dashboards used throughout CBI. Includes working on automated, scalable, clear deliverables that track company performance and drive action.
  • Contribute to CBI’s data-driven culture, promoting best practices and systematic solutions.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • High-level fluency with SQL and Google Sheets / Excel
  • Must have 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling abilities; fluency with Data Studio or Tableau preferred
  • Experience with descriptive analysis & reporting
  • Knowledge of how to design and implement a data-driven experiment (user behavior, email marketing, etc.)
  • Exceptional: attention to detail, communication, ability to execute
  • Excited to push boundaries, learn and build new things
  • 4H's: Happy, Helpful, Humble and Hungry
