The Associate Data Engineer serves as the primary developer focused on building, optimizing and maintaining the data pipeline architecture used to support various teams and analysts within the Professional Services Organization. Qualified candidates have experience collecting, organizing and transforming data into easily digestible and analyzable deliverables. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing and enhancing a scalable internal reporting platform
  • Creating and managing reporting tools and templates
  • Designing and implementing data storage structures and ETL pipelines, keeping long-term impacts in mind
  • Identifying and improving upon current internal processes through automation and optimization
  • Developing and designing procedures, systems and measurement tools to improve business processes
  • Time management and completion of collaborative and individual engineering sprints 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or related field/equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Python, Java, Scala, R, Go or similar language
  • 2+ years of experience in working with cloud computing technology (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience working with SQL and database technologies
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience working with data
  • Comfortable using version control and working in a collaborative environment
  • Experienced with CI/CD tools for testing and deployment
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, organization and time management skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team
  • Able to manage one’s schedule and prioritize tasks independently

Preferred Skills:

  • Previously worked with web frameworks (e.g. Flask, Django, etc.)
  • Experienced with BI Visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker)
  • Experience with API development and Machine Learning fundamentals
