MSK requires all new hires, volunteers, and vendors who come onsite to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. This is based on the COVID-19 vaccines' high level of protection and our shared responsibility in protecting our patients.
Beginning on February 21, 2022, MSK will require all new hires, volunteers, and vendors who come onsite to provide proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination series + booster (once eligible). Individuals currently eligible for a COVID-19 booster must get their booster, or have an approved exemption as a condition of employment at MSK. Individuals can get their COVID-19 booster 5 months after receiving their second dose of either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or 2 months after the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Individuals who are not yet eligible for a booster must meet this criteria within 30 days of becoming eligible.
Job Description
Here at MSK, we are undertaking a multi-year initiative to maintain and expand our leading position in conquering cancer. Our goal is to transform the cancer care industry, in research, in clinical care and in prevention. This strategy will be critically dependent on growing digital capabilities and MSK's ability to drive operating model changes and extend our reach via business and technology platforms.
We're excited to recruit a Intelligent Optimization Business Analyst to join our new start-up Intelligent Optimization team within our Digital Informatics and Technology Solutions organization (DigITs). Our team's mission is focused on combining human intelligence processing and digital automation to enable Intelligent Optimization.
You will:

  • Partner with clinical and operation departments in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design to prepare for implementation of automation opportunities, discuss approach and framework by outlining deliverables, timeline, roles/responsibilities to build automation pipeline
  • Analyze business processes, Excellent Process Mining Skills, identify potential automation opportunities and encourage the generation of ideas for process improvements, support re-engineering and process automation discovery and propose a plan of optimization strategy that understand production life cycle relate but not eliminate to Application Programming Interface (API), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligent (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Block Chain, etc.
  • Creating the PDD (Process Description Document), and SDD (Solution Design Document) in detail.
  • Design business automation solutions in partnership with DigITs and other business units providing the solution proposal by checking the scalability of the automation architecture.
  • Assist the business by providing data analytical and process mining insights from the documentations.
  • Drives delivery as a business user proxy and is well versed with the processes in scope
  • Collaborate with IT to design feasible solutions, build user stories to support desired automation solutions
  • Support communication to ensure proper engagement on key milestones, in scope processes, timelines, technology dependencies, roles/responsibilities
  • Bring up and resolve project blockers such as issues with business resources, IT and or partner engagement
  • Collaborate and drive results to align on objectives, drive the automation solution and planning, engage and consult IT during the development phase, and monitor supervised production for assigned workstream and/or initiatives
  • Supports the deployment of RPA, AI, & machine learning capabilities
  • Engage the appropriate internal and external resources to use process automation best practices to deliver successful solutions
  • Find opportunities to improve and enhance current automation
  • Guide and partner with change management resources to ensure effective communication and execution
  • Conduct retrospective/lessons learned post deployment on each initiative
  • Develop training material, outline adoption expectations, and provide definitions for product criteria, readiness, completeness etc.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation framework, technologies and knowledge by sharing information, building standards, developing intellectual property and capturing lessons learned
  • Support agile team in translating end user requirements into set of user product criteria for technical development team & developing documentation
  • Conduct analysis and research required for development team to make decisions
  • Collaborate with team to understand, analyze, document, and communicate platform requirements
  • Help design team to translate product needs/requirements into deliverable units of work
  • Able to synthesize metrics such as: user satisfaction/adoption, quality of products delivered, time-to-market, timely delivery etc.
  • Collaborate closely with agile teams to translate business requirements and operational metrics between user groups and developers


Our ideal candidate.

  • Lean/Six Sigma training ; Scaled Agile certification a plus.
  • 7+ years business & system analysis and process engineering, information systems solution delivery, and experience of working on Intelligent Automation discovery and design in a large-scale technology setting.
  • Strong knowledge and interest in intelligent process optimization, robotic process automation, chatbots, machine learning, AI etc.
  • Excellent analytical skill and specifically discovery and Mining skills with any of following tools - Any AI tools, python, SQL, Visio, UiPath, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Power Automate, etc.
  • Excellent organizational, written & verbal communication , and project management/facilitation skills.
