Purpose of function

• Business Application Development ensures that Gallery Business Processes are supported by information technology today and in the future.
• It secures continuous development of the Gallery’s IT systems while at the same time, it drives the strategic development of the Gallery’s IT landscape.
• Value is delivered by implementation of Gallery’s Roadmap via successful Application & Project Management.
• The Business Application Development department takes responsibility for maintaining, enhancing, and implementing IT software that enables the Gallery’s Business to deliver excellent day-to-day results.

Purpose of job

• Enable Hauser & Wirth employees to explore and define business needs and recommend IT solutions that deliver business value.

Assignment

• Responsible for clarifying business needs, requirements of management, and Application evaluation.​
• Identifies potential improvements: to challenge and document all business needs.​
• Communicates and clarifies evolving business needs along a Project or Application life cycle​ in cooperation with architects and developers.​
• Supports deployment and running operations.
• Creates test plans and test cases to ensure compliance with the requirements. Supports the planning and execution of testing activities.​
• Supports the business documentation creation and update.​
• Supports the creation of learning offers for the Application(s) assigned.
• Identifies the business consequences and risks with solution alternatives for process, organization, and tools.
• Close collaboration with Application Manager and Application Architects/Developers.

Knowledge & Capabilities

• Extensive knowledge and experience in business analysis and modelling requirements/management processes.
• Understanding of software lifecycle management.
• Good knowledge of test methods and tools with focus on acceptance testing.
• Up to date with market trends and best practices within Business Analysis.
• Ability to address challenges creatively and pragmatically. Working with the big picture and in small details.
• Excellent listening skills, and ability to communicate complex scenarios in a structured and comprehensive way.
• Ability to lead with a business mindset, flag risks, challenge stakeholders, and determine what is relevant.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, and related fields, or relevant professional experience as a Business Analyst.
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics, M-Files, SAP Concur, SAP Success Factor, QlikSense, Jira & Confluence, and Apple Macs is a plus.
• Experience working in an international, diverse environment and with remote teams.
• Experience working in an Art Gallery is a plus.
• Strong language skills in English required, German a plus.
