Business Intelligence Analyst, Marketing at Newsela
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be a key teammate responsible for helping make effective, analytically driven decisions for our Product team to build the best products for our teachers, students, and school administrators. Collaborating with other data team members and product managers, you will develop an intimate knowledge of our databases and work with our data warehousing and Looker developers to design the best tables to achieve the best visual outcomes. You’ll architect insightful, visually concise dashboards and reporting to drive the most informed, effective decisions for our product development.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
You will get to work with leaders across Newsela and directly inform them with reliable insights via data reporting. Your data set will be that of students reading, not eyeballs! You’ll be working alongside data analysts and data scientists, who are also investigating and answering strategic questions that will impact the product. Ultimately, your work will drive meaningful enhancements to the learning and teaching experience of over 25 million students and teachers across the U.S. and help improve the future of K-12 education.
Why We’ll Love You:
You have 2+ years helping to solve complex data problems using reporting tools and SQL. Your SQL skills have helped you take data and synthesize it effortlessly for effective, clear reporting. You understand how to pull the right data to make decisions, and can effectively gather requirements and address communication gaps between teams to build successful analysis and reporting. In addition to your technical skills, your excellent visual acumen enables you to thoughtfully design easily digestible dashboards and reports for a wide range of audiences.
