Guardian Direct, a corporate-backed insurtech venture based in Hudson Yards, New York, is looking for a Business Intelligence Lead. We are energized by our mission to create an exceptional customer-centric digital insurance marketplace. You’ll join a team of marketers, designers, engineers, product experts, and data strategists working together to realize this vision. You will have a chance to build on an existing strong foundation of engaged customers and fuel future growth.

In this role you will:

  • Ideate and develop comprehensive digital reporting structures  including dashboards and related analysis on an ongoing basis
  • Design and build unit economics and funnel models, utilize BI tools to create and manage reports, dashboards, and data sources that are needed for deriving business insights
  • Develop reporting standards and best practices to ensure data and key metric standardization across the company
  • Continually mine Google Analytics and other technical sources for performance data and valuable consumer insights that improve user experience and drive growth
  • Collaborate and partner with a multi-disciplinary, diverse team to make meaningful decisions together to serve the needs of the business
  • Partner with quantitative performance agency to achieve ROI targets and other meaningful business performance metrics
  • Provide ROI analysis of digital marketing expenditures and deliver recommendations with regard to continuous improvement
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance and other departments to develop processes, data models and reports to improve efficiency
  • Work proactively with data engineering to design and architect attribution and analytics infrastructure
  • Become obsessed with the customer and the relevant user journey data that informs strategy and directives for the business as a whole
  • Be lean in how you operate, always improving, always aligned to the bigger picture

You should have:

  • 5+ years experience in business intelligence roles, designing and monitoring data models for the purpose of providing critical insights to the business leaders
  • Strong marketing acumen with knowledge of media buying principles, customer acquisition programs, and experience with marketing tools like Google Analytics
  • Experience using BI Tools required (Tableau, Looker, Data Studio etc.)
  • Excitement, energy, and strong people skills including excellent communication capabilities at all levels
  • A nimble approach to thinking strategically while rolling up your sleeves and getting great work done
  • Experience in a startup or venture-like operating model preferred
