Business Operations Associate
At Check, the Business Operations team is responsible for laying the groundwork for new business functions, advising on operational processes, and developing strategic goals. Delivering our payroll product requires tight coordination across product, engineering, finance, payroll operations, and compliance. This role is ideal for someone eager to contribute across all business disciplines at a high-growth fintech startup.
In this role, you will:
- Use your financial and analytical toolkit to advise in financial and strategic decision-making processes, building and owning our financial model and developing ad-hoc analyses
- Work on a daily basis with our customers to ensure their success and communicate their feedback to our product and engineering teams
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and improvement of our sales and go-to-market strategy and processes
- Develop new workflows and optimize existing operational processes
- Partner with our product team to guide strategic decisions around partnerships and vendor relationships
Many backgrounds could fit this role, but ideal candidates:
- Have 3-5 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or business operations at a startup
- Are excited by the prospect of applying structured thinking to a wide variety of strategic and operational challenges
- Are capable of managing several projects at once in a fast-moving environment
- Are strong written and verbal communicators, capable of managing difficult conversations and finding collaborative solutions
- Have advanced financial modeling experience and understand, or are willing to learn, SQL
- Are eager to "roll-up their sleeves" and get things done
