Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join us as a Business Performance Analyst in our Data department. The Business Performance Analyst will be our champion for data-driven decision making and high quality reporting, building a performance focused culture through collaboration and passion in bringing our KPIs to life.

You will be responsible for developing a strong understanding of our performance across all our activities, and to develop and implement a repeatable process for monitoring and reporting it using existing tools and building new ones. You’ll have the opportunity to work across OpenWeb’s teams, getting to know all that is going on in the organization and suggest proactive actions that will make an impact on our business. You will be responsible for creating material reporting on the organization's performance to the Management and Board of Directors. You will also be instrumental in creating forecasts for business cases, using statistical and analytical techniques to understand the key drivers towards achieving our key objectives and results. You will have a mentality of continuous improvement and strong analytical and interpersonal skills. You will enjoy working in a delivery focused, agile startup environment. 

The ideal candidate for this role has a combination of Online industry knowledge, curiosity, out of the box thinking, analytic, real passion to conduct root cause analyses using data-driven insights and a strong background in quantitative analyses using large data sets.

How You’ll Contribute as our Performance Analyst:

As Business Performance Analyst, you will influence decision-making through quality and depth of analytical insights and recommendations for improvement. In particular, you will focus on the following:

Performance Reporting and Analysis

  • Responsible for optimizing our performance reporting structure and repeatable process
  • Optimize our KPI dashboard
  • Synthesis performance trends and business performance
  • Identify and highlight opportunities for performance improvement
  • Develop reporting material in a succinct, visual manner

Analytical support for various teams

  • Drive strategic analysis and provide recommendations for ad hoc requests, both from within the team and externally.
  • Inputting performance forecasts and targets for business cases through scenario modeling

Building a performance focused culture

  • Work with delivery teams throughout the lifecycle of programs to ensure that the right KPIs and targets have been set.
  • Making sure that a focus on outcomes and performance are integrated in to everything we do

The Skills and Experience You Bring:

  • At least 3 years of experience as Business/Marketing/Product Data Analyst
  • Solid track record of reliably monitoring performance metrics
  • Expert level in SQL
  • Experience working with Big Data tools such as BigQuery and Spark
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Expertise in data visualization and discovery tools such as Tableau
  • BA/B.Sc. in industrial/information systems engineering, computer science, statistics or equivalent
