JOB SUMMARY
This position will provide critical business partner support to our operations teams through analysis of expenses, reporting, in-depth quarterly forecasting, and long-term strategic planning processes.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Forecast/Budget process support - financial modeling, analysis, and report publication for operating and capital expenses
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Prepare and review reports & other analysis as required for achieving financial objectives
Perform analysis of data trends on operational budget spend to enable team to meet Key Performance Indicators
Understand financial models to forecast results
Utilize analysis to identify cost savings opportunities
Create operating expense annual budget and quarterly reforecast
Coordinate operating expense monthly variance analysis and reporting
Perform monthly review of financial results and communicate findings
Assisting Accounting with the monthly financial close journal entries
Ad hoc financial analysis to determine present and future financial performance
Analyze large data sets and aggregate effectively for senior leadership review
Perform other duties as requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to quickly identify business problems/opportunities
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
Related Work Experience and Numbers of Years
1-2+ Business planning/Financial analysis or related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Ability and Knowledge
Strong financial modeling and data analytical skill, ability to learn Oracle Hyperion and SAP software.

Bryant Bonds’ team’s roadmap consists of many exciting initiatives. But one in particular excites him most: defining a common set of standards for Charter’s backend API services across its many platforms. “We hope to consolidate our services in order to make them easily consumable by our web, mobile and TV-OS applications,” Bonds said. "Once developers are up to speed on the new architecture, it will allow us to develop new services in a shorter timeframe and get new product features out to customers faster." It’ll also make it easier for developers to learn and be productive on varying code bases.

Keith Neubert always feels pride for his team, but there’s no greater example than the success of the Spectrum News App. His team started the build a few months before the pandemic started. And despite the world rapidly changing around them, they managed to stay the course. “Our customers and the public were seeking trusted news sources, and the app was a valuable resource for them,” Neubert said. His team was able to launch the app in July 2020, and it’s been a hit ever since, with more than 2 million downloads and counting.
