The Role

Say is looking for an experienced cloud engineer/database administrator. This position will develop reusable components and automate operations of cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on database resources. We are looking for a creative, fun, and positive team member who proactively seeks opportunities to improve reliability and efficiencies. This role reports to Say’s Manager of Cloud Engineering.

Qualifications

4+ years of cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, and/or others), certifications a plus

Database administration(Postgres, Redshift, Dynamodb)

Security schemas

Query optimizations

Performance tuning - parameter configuration

Data replication

Database scaling

Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts (VPCs, Virtual Instances, Autoscaling, Managed Services)

DevOps concepts 

Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)

Delivery automation (Github, Github Actions, CircleCI, CodeDeploy, Jenkins, Octopus, Spinnaker, Vamp, Harness)

Networking (TCP, VPN, WAN)

Linux administration and shell scripting (Centos, Amazon Linux, Python)

Containerization, orchestration, and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Linkerd, HPA, HNA, RBAC)

Security (WAF, Security Groups, ACLS, Firewalls, IDS/IPS)

Monitoring, observation, and APM (CloudWatch, DataDog)
