Job Description
We are seeking a Compliance Analyst / Educator to join our Corporate Compliance Department. This is a vital role for a dynamic team.
The Corporate Compliance Department is committed to supporting staff in their efforts to comply with relevant laws and regulations and understand the application of internal policies and procedures.
You Will:

  • Analyze, oversee, and monitor physician documentation for compliance with billing, coding, and documentation rules, guidelines and MSK policy.
  • Analyze and assemble audit results and present results to clinicians, Service Chiefs and administrators.
  • Review and respond to inquiries relating to billing, coding, compliance and medical documentation concerns.
  • Meet with and educate new clinicians on documentation guidelines.
  • Analyze Departmental Compliance Monitoring Reports to identify issues, patterns and trends.
  • Serve as a resource on medical record documentation, billing, and coding rules.


You Have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (preferred) and a minimum of 4 years' experience in billing, coding (particularly Evaluation and Management (E/M) services) and compliance audits. Professional coding experience is required.
  • Expertise of billing and coding rules; ability to research billing, coding and compliance issues using various resources.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to present and train, both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in PC office applications.
