The Role:

DailyPay is seeking a Capital Markets/Credit Analyst who will work closely with the Senior Manager and Senior Analyst of Capital Markets to perform credit underwriting of new and existing partners and help maintaining our proprietary risk and pricing models. Additionally, the Capital Markets Analyst will work closely with the sales team to ensure that appropriate due diligence requests are satisfied early in the sales cycle. This is a role that requires knowledge of Corporate Accounting and / or Credit Underwriting, ability to professionally engage in due diligence calls with clients, and a keen interest in becoming a subject matter expert in this domain.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Support the Manager and Director of Capital Markets in performing initial and periodic credit reviews by performing credit and financial analysis to determine the level of risk according to established guidelines
  • Work on credit analysis for counter-parties; advance and innovate risk management techniques
  • Assist sales team with collecting appropriate due diligence information early in the sales cycle to support credit underwriting
  • Perform due diligence on new partners by working with Sales and the partner contacts (CFO, controller, etc.)
  • Support the approval of new partners by communicating with the sales force on a daily basis through the sales cycle
  • Streamline internal processes and change firm-wide policies and procedures to be more reflective of current market conditions
  • Support the business development/sales team in understanding the credit process and market environment
  • Maintain databases and analyze all market intelligence
  • Prepare various Capital Markets reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Work on ad hoc projects as assigned 

What You Bring to The Team:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Accounting, Credit Risk or front-office experience at a bank, investment fund, credit fund or rating agency
  • Strong understanding of accounting, financial statement analysis, and risk assessment
  • Ability to lead due diligence calls with clients in a professional and thorough manner
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must have the highest level of personal integrity, value the contribution of others and have a significant commitment to achieving outstanding results
  • Excitement for and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a growing team
  • Occasional need to work outside of normal business hours as required to support customers may be required
