The Role: 

Our growing Customer Strategy team is looking for a Customer Strategy, Associate Analyst to support reporting, dashboard and process documentation needs for our Customer Team with a specific emphasis on supporting the needs of our Sales Leadership Team. You will respond to reporting and Dashboard requests to leaders to understand business trends, variance drivers, and identify opportunities to add value and reduce risk. You are a true problem-solver and will work to automate inefficient processes across our business. You will collaborate with our Customer Optimization and Leadership teams to help us align on data standards and principles.

As part of our Customer Strategy team, you’ll have the opportunity to partner with our Customer Leadership team to support customer retention and upsell motions, while building on your skills in reporting and dashboard optimization. You’ll get to see the strategies you helped build come to life, and will be asked to provide insights throughout the planning process to help us ensure we’re driving high performance behavior and revenue generation. At the end of the day, your work will support Newsela’s growth and will ultimately help us deliver engaging products that inspire enthusiastic learning in K-12 schools nationwide.

Why We’ll Love You: 

You are obsessed with analyzing data, spotting trends, and making recommendations based on the patterns you identify -- and you’ve done this successfully as part of a sales operations team before and are experienced in Salesforce. You have strong attention to detail and provide a structured, scalable approach to business problem solving. You are a self-starter who isn’t afraid to ask difficult questions and is comfortable interfacing with senior leadership. You love Excel, have experience in Looker (not required) or other data visualization tools. You may have experience in sales operations (territory planning, quota setting, and building scalable processes), but if not, you’re excited to learn these skills on the job.
