Job Description

We Are:

 

The Department of Medical Physics has an exciting opportunity for a data analyst. You will report to the director of quantitative imaging and deputy service chief of predictive informatics.

 

We investigate the use of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in clinical applications including assessment of treatment response. We work with a multidisciplinary team of Physicians and Scientists who are involved in cancer care.

 

The work we do is challenging, transformative, and of high value for a cancer center. The outcome will also be of critical importance for the clinical image analysis and reporting workflow to colleagues in the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Radiology.

 

You will:
 

  • Analyze the data to determine treatment response spanning a time range from weeks to multiple years depending on the tumor type and treatment.
  • Use Graphical presentations for an overview of treatment response including lesion volume, physiological and metabolic responses.
  • Be involved in integrating multi-parametric and multi-modality imaging data. The results from the above-mentioned analyses will be presented at National and International Conferences and the original research will be published in peer-reviewed Journals.

 

You are:

 

  • Experienced in coding in Matlab and/or python. Both Windows and Linux platforms are available.
  • Work with in-house software in Matlab (MRI-QAMPER) with routines to analyze advanced diffusion weighted (DW) and dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE) -MRI data obtained from cancer patients.
  • Encouraged to work with post-doctoral fellows and contribute towards abstracts and manuscripts as a co-author.

 

You need:

  • Advanced training in research including new analysis methods.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Skills in quantitative research
  • Proficiency with software, such as ImageJ, MRIcron, SPM, ITK Snap, Free surfer, XNAT, Tableau and/or Redcap, is desirable.
  • Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch for adapting deep learning algorithms for cancer imaging preferred. #LI-POST
