Job Description JPMorgan Chase has a strategic business goal to run applications on multi-cloud environments and deliver innovative solutions using AI/ML, big data, develops tools and micro-services and architectures. This role is responsible for driving execution of Chase Consumer and Community Banking's (CCB) data strategy and operating model.
As an experienced data product management professional, you are very familiar with product management best practices across the lifecycle and can transform how a firm delivers superior customer experiences through their product and service offerings. You are very comfortable with influencing key stakeholders in analytics, business and technology to deliver leading edge innovation with the customer and the business impact in mind. You are comfortable with data and technology trends and their implications.
We are looking for a candidate with experience building data ontologies to join our CCB Data Delivery team to drive adoption of common vocabularies and structured data within the Firm. You will have the opportunity to partner with our Data Publishers making their data scalable and machine-readable for our data consumers and data scientists when building NLP/ML/AI solutions. With CCB's comprehensive data, we are setting out to build knowledge graphs to facilitate better insights discovery, search, and knowledge management and governance.

The Role:
In this exciting role we expect you to work in applying structured data methods and technologies, generate ontologies and vocabularies that describe our data. The meta-data and data should be discoverable via human and machine search using APIs to support data-driven decision tools and processes such as MIS, advanced analytics, including graph databases.
You will partner with product managers and technology to output data for our business users (both non-technical and technical). You will be a key person in shaping the product offering and the customer experience.
The role must demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to move quickly and embrace an experiment-driven product development approach
  • Conduct user research to identify pain points and inform design
  • Radical thinking paired with strong execution - can envision a world different than the status quo with the ability to articulate a clear path to get there.
  • Outcome oriented - not reactionary; you can articulate the desired outcome and work collaboratively to create a path to achieve it. This requires a fundamental understanding of the business and its constraints (financial, marketing, compliance, legal, service, the customer environment, the technical capabilities, the user experience, etc.)
  • Fluency in highly technical concepts and practices, garnering respect from engineers
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership by empowering product teams to make decisions as close to the work as possible. Manage dependencies with other team's functions while identifying, building, and managing strategic partnership across different product teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with CCB's Data Publishers and Product Owners in cross-disciplinary teams to improve how they publish their information; Guide the building of logical/physical data models; Help discover, profile, acquire, process, model and own data for the solutions
  • Advocate the adoption of open-sourced data processing pipelines & algorithms to help clients manage and anticipate data needs from varied structured and unstructured data sources, including traditional relational stores, other NoSQL databases, and social media, news, internal/external documents, emails, etc.
  • Actively be involved in researching and experimenting with leading/emerging data governance and processing methodologies and technologies to facilitate advanced analytics use cases.
  • Develop metrics and procedures for assessing, managing and characterizing meta-data and dataset consumption
  • Contribute to data architecture and data management strategy design
  • Participate in collaborating with the firm's Chief Data Offices and Technology Functions to develop standards and best practices
  • Participate in relevant industry and governance groups
  • Influence key stakeholders to define tasks and guidelines for workflows and manage decisions throughout the lifecycle.
  • Builds product backlog, prioritize its items to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and continuously keep it up to date. Ensures product features and processes align with applicable Discover compliance and risk management standards.


Minimum qualifications:

  • Demonstrable outcomes using Google Search Structured Data, Metadata capture, Web Ontology Language (OWL), Knowledge Representation, W3C, Resource Description Framework (RDF), JSON-LD
  • Experience using Java, Python, SPARQL and/or SQL
  • Experience migrating and establishing data foundations on cloud-based platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
  • Education in and/or experience with language pragmatics, linguistic data collection methodologies, and/or natural language understanding
  • Bachelor's degree in information science, computer science, library science, computational linguistics, mathematics, philosophy or related discipline
