ABOUT THE ROLE
BlueVine is looking for a Data Engineer with proven experience to join our team! You’ll be joining an efficient and fast paced working team, building and supporting data infrastructure for BI and business operations across BlueVine. You will help business functions like new product development, marketing, customer support, business development and operations leverage data and automation to improve efficiency and productivity. You will work with business leaders, fellow engineers, and business analysts to help identify answers to the most important questions impacting our business.
This is not a fully remote role. At BlueVine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices will reopen in accordance with local guidelines, and will follow a hybrid model.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Help build robust data pipelines and ETL tools from internal and external Data sources.
- Work collaboratively across the organization to address and predict data performance bottlenecks.
- Work with key stakeholders across the company to plan and execute improvements in data collection and enrichment.
- Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
- Automate business processes requiring data manipulation, aggregation, and sharing.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- Experience in the complete life cycle of data warehouse projects, including functional/technical design, coding, and testing.
- Solid understanding of areas of Computer Science such as algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and databases.

- Minimum 2 years of software development experience, including at least 1 year of Python programming.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL..
- Experience working with Relational database
- Experience working with AWS cloud services.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments
Nice to haves
- Experience working with Redshift.
- Experience with using open source or non-open source ETL tools.
- Experience with Docker containers.
