DATA ENGINEERING LEAD

Share Local Media is a startup that works with well-known consumer brands to plan and execute direct-mail campaigns. We offer a full-service solo-mail product where we manage the process end-to-end and we also offer a self-serve technology platform which allows brands to manage their own campaigns in a similar fashion to email or other online marketing channels. THE ROLE

As the Data Engineering lead, you would act as a hands-on technical lead and manager for a small team of data analysts. The Data Team works on client campaigns to perform analysis and reporting, unlocking insights and enabling data-driven decision making.

You would be reporting directly to the CTO and you will be working with stakeholders from across the organization to design and build a data pipeline which caters to our growing product and client needs. In this role, you would have significant ownership over the direction we take in building our data infrastructure and developing pipelines, tools, and methodologies to support data analysis.

This role includes engineering, statistics, project management, technical architecture, and people management. We are seeking an individual who can bring their technical skills and experience to the table and who can excel in the development and execution of our data strategy - this is a unique opportunity to make a lasting and immediate impact.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• A degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.

• 5+ years of software engineering and/or management experience.

• Proven track record of building and shipping data-centric software products.

• A passion for data and a strong understanding of statistics.

• Experience working with large complex data sets.

• Ability to collaborate with a diverse set of engineers, data scientists and product managers.

• Experience with data modeling, large-scale batch, and real-time data processing, ETL design, implementation and maintenance.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment.
