ABOUT THE ROLE
Cadre is looking for a Data Engineer with a strong quantitative background to join our supply engineering team. We are looking for an individual that is passionate about building a new generation of fintech solutions for private equity investment as we grow our investor base and the number and types of assets we manage. The supply engineering team is responsible for building systems and software for data collection and automation of our investment workflows. The team works closely with our acquisition and asset management business lines, as well as with Cadre’s data scientists in order to shape how Cadre makes and manages its investments.

Cadre runs a robust stack (React, Django, PostgreSQL), continuously integrated and deployed on AWS. Our tech stack is always evolving, and you will help set its technical direction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with our acquisitions and data science teams to build data tools to accelerate deal velocity.
- Support our asset management data collection and metric calculation platform.
- Manage our data ingestion processes to support our ever-expanding data needs
- Design, build and launch efficient and reliable data pipelines into production
- Design and implement warehousing solutions to scale with the needs of the business
- Develop new systems and tools to enable folks to consume and understand data more intuitively
WHAT YOU HAVE
- 2+ years of Data modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing experience
- Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms
- Strong software engineering skills in any server-side language (Python, Ruby, Java, etc.)
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SQL
- Experience with mpp databases (Redshift, Vertica, etc) or similar technologies (Presto, Spark, etc) is a plus
- Great communication skills including the ability to identify and communicate data-driven insights
- Self-starter, thriving in a startup environment
