The Team:
At WW, this Data team is re-imagining engineering in and around our data infrastructure, architecture, pipeline, flow, and security. We are building a modern data-stack fed by batch and streaming pipelines creating incremental value from our data. This team works on various data platforms and frameworks, our approach to data engineering is tech/cloud agnostic - we study the requirements/use cases and choose the appropriate technology/framework that will be best fit for it. We have a healthy and vibrant footprint of Apache Camel for Integrations using a configuration driven approach where we can simply deploy new integrations with various connectors for DB/SFTP/API etc. This team is driving business intelligence solutions end-to-end: business requirements, workflow instrumentation, data modeling and ETL.
The Role:
You work very efficiently and routinely deliver the right things. You will have a company-wide view of the Data Engineering solutions that you build, and you will consistently think in terms of automating or expanding the results company-wide. This high impact role will have an opportunity to lead a team to help design and build our data infrastructure and work with emerging technologies that support data lineage, data observability, and data governance. You are an expert at designing, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, low-cost solutions to flow data from production systems into the data-lake and into end-user facing applications.
Skills:

• Passionate about leading engineers to create high-functioning, collaborative, and inclusive teams
• Understanding of private and public cloud design considerations and limitations in the areas of virtualization, global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing, networking, massive data storage, and security
• Experience in design, data structures, and algorithms, and excellent analytical and debugging skills with customer-facing product experience
• Hands-on Engineering leader comfortable using Java or Python

Base salary may vary depending on, but not limited to: skills, experience, and location.
Base Salary
$150,000/yr to $180,000/yr
