Data Operations Lead

Dotdash is looking for a Team Lead to join our Data Operations team. This role will partner with business, analytics and data science teams to design, build and maintain data integrations to facilitate reporting and monitoring key performance indicators.

About your contributions:

• Build data integrations to enrich the data lake from varieties of external and internal sources.

• Drive development practices and technical decisions that ensure the codebase is well maintained and documented.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to understand data and reporting requirements.
• Delegate work with team members to deliver products on time.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as necessary.
• Keep up with new technologies and solutions to improve existing systems.

About You: 

• 5+ years of experience in building and optimizing data pipelines in languages including, but not limited to Python.
• 3+ years of experience using SQL for analytics, working with relational databases and/or distributed systems such as Hive or BigQuery.
• Experience with mentoring and leading a small team of data engineers is preferred.
• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is a plus.
• Knowledge of streaming processing, and experience with Kafka or Pub/Sub is a plus.
• Linux/Unix experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
