Job Description
POSITION:
Data Scientist, Computer Vision (Health Informatics)
MSKCC has a growing AI development community committed to improving the detection, characterization, and treatment of cancer. The Computer Scientist / Data Scientist will have ample opportunities to participate in the broader MSKCC AI community to grow professionally and academically.
What you'll be doing:
Consult with clinical radiology staff to understand business needs, translate these needs into technical / analytics tasks, and be capable of performing deep learning model development independently.
Lead a deep learning effort employing supervised training to build radiology image segmentation artificial intelligence (AI) models.
- Build data pipelines for automated training data preprocessing, and will train, optimize, and test segmentation models.
- Crafting efficient and reusable modularized components that drive complex applications
Experience with supervised training of deep learning models utilizing large imaging datasets for computer vision tasks. Experience working with the DICOM imaging standard.
Our ideal candidate is:
- Solid understanding of data analysis tools, with data science preferred
- Passionate about data and creating new solutions to empower cancer care and research
- Strong knowledge of programming languages, ETL tools and their administration, and exposure to relational/non-relational databases OR
- Linux experience highly preferred, but not required.
- Python programming language required.
