We're looking for a Data Scientist to join our Data Insights Engineering team and help us accomplish our mission to improve lives by learning from the experience of every cancer patient. What You'll Do

In this role, you will enable community oncology practices to thrive and make data-driven decisions. As a Data Scientist on this team, you will build a next-generation analytics platform end-to-end by doing both exploratory analysis and building productionalized analytics-as-a-product. You will shape the way community oncology practices understand and take action on clinical, operational, and administrative trends through Flatiron InsightTM, our practice-facing analytics portal. In addition, you'll also:

• Design and build analytics dashboards based on user research and close collaboration with internal clinical experts to enable better patient care and healthier oncology practices
• Learn how value-based care programs are reshaping the way community oncology practices are reimbursed and impacting patient care. Design data products to help our customers navigate and succeed in these programs
• Develop an expertise in oncology practices’ medical, operational, and financial data, and design a data model to capture those concepts in an analytics database
• Partner with software engineers to architect data infrastructure, build data pipelines, and ingest new data sources
• Immerse yourself in business and technical context to help your team identify and explore opportunities for unlocking new value from our unique data sets

Who You Are

You are an entrepreneurial, analytical, full stack data scientist, experienced in taking nascent product ideas and maturing them into production data products. You are excited to learn about the cancer patient journey and how community oncology practices operate. You’re a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback, and values the chance to make an important impact. 

• You have strong analytical and problem solving skills 
• You have collaborated with other technical team members in a production development environment using formal version control and SQL, Python, and/or Spark
• You have strong intuition for how to model and clean data
• You can clearly define a problem, explain the value in solving it, evaluate possible approaches with stakeholder feedback, and execute on a project plan
• You are organized with strong prioritization and communication skills
• You thrive in a cross-functional environment

• You have experience visualizing data in Looker dashboards
• You have healthcare industry knowledge/context (especially oncology-specific knowledge)
