The Role:

As the Data Visualization Analyst, you will be a key member of our Data team responsible for helping drive operational efficiency and improve business outcomes through actionable, insightful data visualization. Collaborating across Newsela’s leadership and data teams, you will leverage your ability as a part designer and part developer to design SQL table architecture for our internal reporting and data visualization needs. You will build reports and dashboards to succinctly and beautifully track success and inform decision-making across the organization.

You have 1+ years helping to solve complex data problems using advanced SQL skills and analytics for software/tech companies looking to increase engagement with customers. Your SQL and javascript skills have helped you take hoards of data and synthesize it effortlessly for great reporting. You may also have experience working with CRM tools (Salesforce.com or equivalent), and understand how to pull the right data to make decisions. In addition to your technical skills, your excellent visual acumen enables you to thoughtfully use color and KPIs to design easily digestible dashboards and reports, and are able to translate your designs to a wide range of audiences.
