We’re growing quickly, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Deal Desk Analyst to join our team and make a big impact. 

As our first Deal Desk Analyst, your mission will be to increase the efficiency of our deal desk and ultimately, the success of the Sales organization. Reporting to the Sales Operations and Enablement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in helping shape the Muck Rack deal desk. You should be excited about working in a fully distributed SaaS company with a growing sales team, with opportunities to partner with other departments such as Finance and Legal. You’ll be a great fit for this role if process, systems, and teaching come naturally to you. 

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the trusted advisor to the Sales and Account Management teams on deal structure, process, and systems.
  • Assist the Sales and Account Management teams in building non-standard or complex orders.
  • Proactively evolve and improve workflows, processes, and automation to increase the effectiveness of Deal Desk.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other departments to help facilitate the deal process (e.g. structuring deals/contracts, approvals, and order management).
  • Educate and train new hires on Deal Desk processes and best practices to ensure that approvals, policies and procedures are properly followed and well documented.
  • Review deals for accurate terms, billing information and pricing to ensure that data included in contracts aligns with our internal systems.
  • Work with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure timely and correct invoice creation and assist with collection issues.

If the details below describe you, you could be a great fit for this role:

  • 2 - 4 years professional experience, with 1-3 years of related experience (directly in sales operations, revenue operations, or on a deal desk)
  • Background in SaaS or at a company with a recurring subscription model (B2B preferred)
  • Proficiency in CRM Software (HubSpot preferred)
  • Comfort with tools including Excel, Slack, and/or Trello
  • Attention to detail - you are able to maintain a high level of ownership and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills - you can effectively explain complex concepts across all departments and levels of the sales organization.
  • Process-driven - you value process in your problem solving and can inspire others to adopt and internalize new and existing guidelines.
  • Prioritization skills - you thrive while managing many moving pieces and changing priorities.
  • Self starter - you understand how the work fits into the big picture and have the ability to take projects from start to completion.
