Director, Business Intelligence
Dotdash is looking for a Director of Business Intelligence to join the Performance Marketing team. This role will be responsible for increasing the visibility and usage of data throughout the organization to inform stakeholders on trends, identify opportunities and assist in data-driven decision making. You will also help drive education and adoption of performance marketing data throughout the organization.
About the Role:
- Build and manage a high performing analytics team that promotes a culture of data-driven decision making, delivers high quality analysis, and provides deep insights to inform business strategy.
- Collaborate with Product, Partnerships, Editorial and Data Engineering teams to prioritize initiatives, develop KPI's, and provide detailed requirements and use cases for various projects
- Define KPIs for the team and various projects, setting up tracking to help continue driving the business forward
- Lead modeling and reporting of Advanced analytics models delivered by team include annual sales plan models and forecasts, churn prediction model, lead scoring model, marketing attribution model across B2C and B2B areas of the business.
- Create dashboards and reports in Looker that provide detailed insights to all aspects of the Performance Marketing business for stakeholders across the larger Dotdash organization
- Manage and prioritize inbound requests for analytics and reporting capabilities
- Oversee a team of analysts and help mentor and grow their careers
About You:
- 8 - 10 years of experience in a cross-functional analytics or business intelligence role, preferably in digital media
- Proficient in dashboard tools such as Looker, Tableau, Domo, and Salesforce, and strong analytical skills
- General understanding of data architecture and familiarity with languages such as SQL and Python is a plus
- Ability to anticipate the needs of others and always see the larger picture - making it easy for others to make decisions
- Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
- Ability to work with minimal supervision to initiate, prioritize and complete projects with strong attention to organization
- Familiarity with performance/affiliate marketing tactics
- Advanced degree in Statistics / Math would be a plus
