About the Role:

The LeagueApps BizOps team drives strategic decisions and operational improvements that impact business and financial results. As the Director of the team, you will help solve problems by immersing yourself in our data, analyzing it, developing insights, and forming recommendations to executive leadership. 

This position will regularly collaborate with other members of the finance department, senior management and department leaders while project-managing several priorities. You will initially manage a small team of BizOps direct reports and build relationships with leaders across the company.

Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence and Strategic Analysis

• Build a high working competency of company context in order to influence department leaders to accomplish their objectives by leading our recurring business operations meetings across every department
• Oversee the development of KPI reporting, dashboards, and visualizations on historical results, current performance, and expected results to help department leaders make strategic decisions
• Work closely with the Management team to inform and implement new data-driven revenue strategies (especially within the SaaS funnel across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success) and operational process improvements across the Company
• Lead team through analysis and extraction of insights from large, multi-dimensional data sets generating useful conclusions and actionable recommendations for department leaders and management team
• Ad-hoc financial models and analyses in partnership with VP Finance and CEO
• Recruit and manage analyst team members

Data Reporting and Data Management

• Lead the company in how we will leverage a growing set of databases, tools (Looker), and teammates in order to scale our growing, iterating, robust data requirements
• Be a champion of data integrity across the organization to ensure objective reporting from the source of truth as close to “zero-defect” as possible
• Develop databases and connect data sources to each-other, implementing new tools and solutions that allow us to store and analyze new data sources and join to our existing data sources in new ways (ETL)
• Oversee automated reporting that enables department leaders and other teammates to analyze and extract insights from large data sets; Manage uptime of all recurring reporting and scripts
• Work directly with our in-house data analysts/engineers (SQL, Python) to improve our data workflows and reporting systems to enable data access and literacy across the company

Skills and Experience:

• 8+ years experience in business intelligence and data analysis leadership roles at high-growth venture-backed technology companies
• Management consulting experience a plus
• MBA a plus
• Experience with SQL and Python strongly preferred
• Experience with Looker a plus
• 2+ years experience managing a small team of direct reports in analytical and technical roles strongly preferred
• Strong hands-on analytical and financial modeling skills required
• Communicates effectively across departments and levels
• Attention to detail and focus on data accuracy and integrity
• Strong prioritization skills; eager to work on many different tasks and projects at once
• Eager to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing, team-focused environment
• Problem-solver and leader
