Summary:

The Director of Data & Analytic Asset Management will be responsible for research, selection, recommendation, and subsequent evaluation of data performance (quality, latency, etc.), as well as the presentation of recommendations and results to partners. Under Strategy & Architecture team, the Director will lead to governance approaches across areas, and generate proactive guidance, recommendations and to operate governance at varying levels across the Enterprise. They also serve as a data "subject matter expert" providing guidance to others both internally (legal, risk management, and compliance) and externally (government and industry).

The ideal candidate will be fluent in data governance, , business process management, business rules management, master, reference, and meta-data management, data lineage, experience in design and operation of data taxonomy across all aspects of a complex enterprise. Expertise in legal and regulatory knowledge, especially within the Financial and/or Insurance industries; privacy (PII, PHI, etc.), Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), etc.

In addition, familiarity with Customer Relationship Management, Financial Product Management, as well as knowledge of mar-tech and ad-tech with the ability to cover traditional and non-traditional approaches for data sourcing, onboarding, and optimization; consumer, client, and business identity resolution and enrichment,

Key objectives and responsibilities of this role:

  • Manage direct realization of data and asset management strategy
  • Create & manage the Data & Analytics Governance life-cycle COE; develop and lead the asset management group to establish governance, drive best practices, standards, and processes into Enterprise Data & Analytics and across the Company (e.g corporate functions, business architecture, P&Ls, and other partners in digital product and engineering)
  • Build and lead a team of Asset Managers; inclusive of specialists such as Business and Data Analysts, Data Quality Analysts, Data Domain Architects/Modelers, Business Rules Architects, and Intellectual Property (IP) Managers
  • Define requirements for processes and services to continually assess and measure data quality, communicate and inform of findings, develop and manage recommendations for remediation with stakeholders (Audit, Compliance, Information Risk Management, etc.)
  • Develop and present recommendations and proposals to fully realize the vision
  • Define and manage product roadmap, milestones, outcomes for the asset management strategy
  • Assess data needs across the portfolio; developing a data quality program, test data management strategy, design and direct a reference and meta-data management strategy
  • Lead discovery and inception activities to define outcomes, scope, requirements, target state, roadmaps, and financial plans, resource planning, and product deliverables
  • Manage vendor relationships negotiating service level agreements, statements of work, financial budgets and resourcing forecasts
  • Manage expectations for deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, constituency, and stakeholders; defining & communicating outcomes, success measures, and key performance indicators
  • Work with our data engineering, analytics teams, and other partners to inform, guide, and advise of policies and standards
  • Run multiple concurrent work streams with a mixture of direct and matrixed resources
  • Manage workflow and communication with other team members
  • Keeping abreast of the latest news and trends in the industry

Qualifications, Key Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience with delivery of multiple world class data solutions for large enterprises.
  • Strong knowledge of data industry and data landscape and how this data is relevant to our business.
  • A broad and deep understanding of data architecture; modeling, cataloging, inventory management, data quality assessment and measurement
  • Ability to manage a client portfolio with a large volume of campaigns and deliverables
  • Understanding of all capabilities for information architecture, data governance, data quality, business rules, predictive modeling, content management and cataloging, OCR/ICR, and the application of deep learning, machine learning, artificial intelligence within governance
  • Knowledge of digital adtech and addressable media ecosystem
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts and modeling as it relates to data and data optimization and as it relates to list and campaign-level analysis.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required; Business, Marketing, Advertising or Communications preferred.
