As the Director of Mulberry’s Strategic Analytics team, you will be a hands-on leader with a passion for data and analysis with a clear vision for how data can transform company strategy. You will understand the financial and operational drivers of our business at a granular level and provide critical support spanning all areas of the business by taking on a wide range of strategic analytical projects. You will have lots of opportunities and support to grow quickly within our growing company and build out the Strategic Analytics team, demonstrating your past experience and building out valuable new skill-sets.

More specifically:

  • You are a trusted partner. When someone comes to you with a data need, you ask what, how, when, and help them narrow in on their needs, present other ideas/areas for them to consider, and give them something actionable
  • You are a builder and Automator. You know how to build tools and automation to make data easy to access and understand
  • You have experience working with managers to create operational metrics and reporting for specific groups within the company with recommendations and insights
  • You have a history of evaluating, developing, and maintaining cross-functional infrastructure of internal tools for a revenue organization
  • You have experience as a “data generalist” highly preferred. The best candidates have some experience with data visualization; analytics/data engineering and data modeling; and statistical modeling and other quantitative analytical methods
  • You are a person who is strategic, technical and business savvy when it comes to data analytics and how it can improve/grow a business

About the role:

  • Working within the finance team, while managing the current data analyst on the team (until you hire more!) and partnering with our product analyst, you will enable informed decisions, help identify risks and opportunities, and achieve financial and strategic objectives. You will start by drafting and executing on a plan to improve our revenue and assurance analytics and continue with a holistic data strategy at Mulberry. You will work collaboratively with Partner Success, Engineering, Assurance, Product, Finance, Marketing and Sales. You will, individually and as the team’s director, discover meaningful insights and inform important decisions. 

More specifically, you will:

  • Provide the business at all levels including the executives with recommendations and insights backed by data
  • Collaborate with all functions of the company to ensure data needs are addressed and the required data is modeled and available to analysts and end-users
  • Own the development of forecasting and KPI dashboards. Analyze and determine assurance metrics, e-commerce metrics in addition to CAC, LTV, payback period, Churn, and Pipeline Health
  • Analyze the company's revenue and assurance results - profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc report to senior management
  • Own and develop a roadmap for the analytics function that clearly defines ownership and responsibility between the central data function and the functional groups
  • Create a data framework so that all company data can be analyzed in a unified manner
  • Partner heads of business groups to ensure forecasts and financial targets will be achieved and managed
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, and Sales, and Operations to help design an efficient, effective, and predictable business

What We’re Seeking:

  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics with a focus on Rev Ops / Product/ Finance / Sales Analytics, ETL workflows, database management, BI Tools, and Reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics or related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Understanding and experience with Data Science Concepts
  • Prior people management experience
  • Experience working cross-functionally and building trust with your partners
  • Experience managing your priorities and request, thinking and acting strategically as well as execute tasks on time
  • You communicate effectively - adjusting how you communicate depending on who you are speaking with and what you need to say
  • Experience writing up findings and presenting them to various partners so they know what they need to know and how they should act on the findings
  •  Technologies you’ve used: R, SQL, Python, Looker/ Tableau, Google Data Studio, Salesforce
