The ERP Data Management Specialist is focused on ensuring that ERP data is clean and organized. Primary responsibilities include data conversions, mapping from legacy systems, and assisting with the development and operations of automated ETL systems in support of ERP. Additional responsibilities include data analysis, data quality management, developing business rules, and ad-hoc data reporting.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and execute data mapping and manipulation of ERP data
  • Participate in automated ETL design, implementation, testing, performance tuning, documentation, and operational management
  • Perform analysis, cross-referencing, merging, and consolidation of data from multiple sources
  • Collaborate with staff and vendors to contribute to current and future design, implementation, and documentation of data, metadata, and overall systems data architecture
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure appropriate technical and business testing of data conversion and ETL operations
  • Create and maintain systems documentation including processes and procedures
  • Specialize in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from various systems
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the interrelationships of data and multiple data domains
  • Identify and document data migration paths and processes
  • Develop and perform standard queries to ensure data quality, identify data inconsistencies, missing data, and resolve as needed.
  • Standardize data naming, data definitions, and modeling
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (esp. Word and Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous workflows while maintaining quality output and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new and exciting technologies with little assistance
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of decision-making, data preparation, and processes


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience related to this position
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in data analysis, data manipulation, and support
  • Proficient knowledge and application of relational database concepts
  • Experience or exposure to Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) and/or Business Intelligence
  • Skilled at completing technical design via iterative mockups


Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with ETL tools and procedures (any tool)
  • Prior experience working with SaaS and PaaS platforms. (Dell Boomi, Salesforce NetSuite etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate at different levels of the organization
  • Openness to learning new skills and software as necessary
  • High aptitude in analytical and logical thinking
  • Demonstrated experience with data models and data mapping
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Demonstrated ability to produce highly detailed, comprehensive documentation artifacts
  • Client-focused attitude
  • High-level knowledge of enterprise IT organizational, business, and technical environments
  • Ability to analyze processes and recommend improvements as needed
