Job Description
New hires based in the US & Puerto Rico will be required to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption or accommodation to this vaccination requirement, subject to applicable law.
Our Animal Health Marketing team takes a customer centric perspective using customer feedback and market intelligence data. Using this data, we design, develop and deploy products, platforms, brands and marketing initiatives that ensure we can improve the health and well-being of animals everywhere.
Reporting in to the Global Commercial Lead for DataLabs this role is responsible for leading the introduction and commercial growth of the Data Labs applications in the defined geographic area.
This position is critical to capturing the business needs, determining and leveraging new business models and identifying new business segments and companies for the DataLive platform and Data Labs group.
This position will also work closely with in-country company teams to identify prospects, complete value propositions, set budgets and deliver on business goals. This will include working with local teams to create account plans and deliver proposals for new business.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support financial objectives of data Labs, for the North American company Animal Health business
  • Work with our company staff locally to actively identify Data needs and value opportunities. Work with the Data Labs Product Team to define needs and offer clarity to the DL Product Team
  • Working with the local team help develop strategic relationships with companies ranging from nutrition, artificial insemination, genetics, financial, farm consultants, animal welfare certification and those in the food supply chain to build value and find profitable collaborations or ways they can use data to make them more successful and reliant on the DataLive platform
  • Developing a more robust data business at country level by working closely with MAH country operations team practicing co-planning and co-selling activities
  • Work within the Global Datalabs Commercial Team, helping ensure commercial objectives for the region are met working in concert with the local company team
  • Working effectively with the wider cross functional team internally and externally, including marketing, legal, technical, finance and territory management teams, to ensure delivery on customer expectations in large farms especially as it relates to key account sales and after sales work flow programs
  • Ensure that key prospects and customers are heard in brand and business planning and that brand needs are met in the development of account plans.
  • Actively identifying mutual opportunities for business development and growth and pro-actively build and execute plans to attain new business
  • Work closely with the local DataLabs/IdentiGEN team ensuring continuity of message
  • Actively supporting the development of collaborative planning processes using the identify CRM


Key Activities

  • Actively participate in the global commercial planning process with the Datalabs commercial team, ensuring objectives are aligned with those in the North American markets
  • Actively participating in the collaborative planning process, developing agreed country level customer account plans and ensuring plans are implemented and kept up to date.
  • Work with marketing and field sales teams to institute and execute stronger product introduction plans. Assist markets with key account prospect visits to introduce new products.
  • Build strong collaborative country level account plans (including the identification and cooperation of management segment experts) and translate into clear action plans, agreed at country and regional level.
  • When appropriate negotiate contracts with new businesses and with possible collaborative companies
  • Working collaboratively with all cluster and country leads with an interest in the Customer relationship to ensure we can grow new business and maintain current accounts.
  • Working closely with customer operations teams and key practices to ensure effective role out and communication of new programs
  • Identify new Data Live offerings, and new uses for current offerings
  • Integrated and collaborative member of the cross-functional teams across Animal Health--ensuring deep understanding of the market, customer needs and opportunities, brand needs/ strategy and product/policy environment
  • Work with Animal Health markets to set sales plans, budgets and business plans to attain budget
  • Act as an expert resource for our Company colleagues based on knowledge of the industry and their environment.


Knowledge Required

  • BS degree or greater or equivalent industry/business qualification
  • Proven track record of success within a Sales and Account management environment
  • Strong English written and verbal skills, additional languages a benefit
  • Strong understanding of the livestock industry as well as the animal business environment.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively with collaborative company mid-level managers and to those in top leadership roles
  • Good understanding of wider business principles and models
  • Good understanding of negotiation strategy and it's application.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Wide ranging and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competent use of Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint to present data to a high standard.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
