Amun 21Shares is seeking an Index Methodologist who will focus on researching and projecting indexes which result in changes to the underlying benchmarks the teams manage funds against. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving this daily projection process, be a solid contributor to enhancing automation and efficiency of process, and conduct independent research and analysis to incorporate into the portfolio strategy. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Projecting upcoming index changes across a vast number of benchmarks used by portfolio managers to model trades
  • Enhance and streamline index projection process by participating in technology developments
  • Research expected index changes, upcoming corporate actions, and major index rebalances
  • Develop strong knowledge of index methodology
  • Advise and collaborate with global index providers on implementing methodology and best practices
  • Active voice in all portfolio manager and index discussions
  • Support index strategy and product teams with benchmark analysis
  • Partner with product development team to develop and launch new products


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a finance related subject,
  • Relevant professional experience in a financial services environment and/or a keen interest in financial markets
  • Strong IT skills, advanced proficiency in Excel and VBA desirable
  • Bloomberg & Factset knowledge an advantage

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proactive attitude, with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize assignments while producing high quality work in a demanding and fast paced environment
