The Information Security Analyst is responsible for coordinating security operations tasks, projects, and other activities in relation to our security roadmap. This position requires hands on technical skills to direct troubleshooting and guide security operations where necessary as well project management skills to coordinate the various projects and activities
Your Day-to-Day Role

• Develop and customize security tools used by security team and other technology team members
• Threat and vulnerability analysis
• Incident response (IR)
• Investigating, documenting, and reporting on any information security issues as well as emerging trends
• Lead product selection efforts, including defining evaluation criteria and test plans.
• Recommend and develop appropriate policy, standards, guidelines, process and procedures for remediation.
• Introduce best practices and principles to enable consistent delivery and enable alignment with long-term direction.
• Collaborate with business units and corporate partners to ensure solutions are built in consistent with the organization's policies, programs, architectural recommendations, and information security standards
• Understand the common types of cyber-attacks and countermeasures in the industry and engage with the business units to resolve within SLAs.
• Develop tactical response procedures for security incidents.
• Develop, build and implement a mature and robust set of metrics and reports.

Your Work Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with incident response
• Knowledge of security industry standards and best practices - NIST, CSA, CIS etc.
• Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management.
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Detailed understanding of the TCP and IP protocol suites and ability to dissect and explain the contents of traffic and packets.
• Experience with preparing standards and procedure documents.
• CISSP, CISM or equivalent qualifications preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, incident management, or cryptography.
• Experience with next generation firewalls.
• Experience with different method of intrusion detection and prevention.
• Extensive experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, logical thinking and ability to create complex searches, dashboards, etc. preferred.
• Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• Experience with Data Governance, Data Loss Prevention process and technology.
• Experience working in a SOC preferred.

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our office to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business.
