Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Inventory Accounting
- Review and post inventory receipts and assemblies
- Match Purchase Orders to Receivers to Invoices
- Record short ships, vendor credits and refunds
- Record discounts and shipping costs
- Review bill of materials and SKU’s for completeness and accuracy monthly
- Prepare monthly warehouse inventory site analysis
- Spearhead reconciliation of site reports to accounting system
- Create and maintain Inventory Reserve Analysis, record disposal
- Track production activity by location, reconcile to invoiced costs
- Balance Sheet reconciliations for monthly G/L close process
- Assist during the auditing process
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis of inventory balances and inventory discrepancies
Key Elements for Success & Education
- KEY: Experience with accounting for and management of inventory
- KEY: Experience in monthly closing process
- Prefer: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel (VLOOKUP; Pivot Tables)
- Prefer: Quickbooks Enterprise Accounting Software experience
- Wholesale consumer product experience not necessary but a big plus
- Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years related experience
- Team player, eager to work in a dynamic, growing business work environment
