About the Role

Software Engineers at Remesh are helping build the world's most trustworthy approach to engaging and understanding massive groups of people in real-time. In doing so, we encounter real engineering problems every day that require a high level of sophistication and expertise. We deal with things like, improving and maintaining a highly available machine learning data pipeline, expanding our extremely high-volume real-time conversation platform, and improving our architecture and infrastructure to remain modular, maintainable, and performant.

As a software engineer at Remesh, you'll be scaling a revolutionary means of communication and helping to change the way we understand people. In light of this, we look for strong critical thinking, problem solving, and reasoning abilities. The successful candidate should be excited to solve complex problems and motivated learners. Because we are using techniques on the edge of research, you'll need to be fluent in keeping up to date with the latest technologies so we can keep pushing our product into the future.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll have immediate ownership and impact. Your team will be responsible for iterating on and maintaining our flagship application and ultimately increasing the value and reach of Remesh at large. Successful candidates will possess solid knowledge of software engineering best practices, Linux, open-source software, and cloud architecture and design. Good communication skills and empathy are highly desired, as this engineer will lead other engineers and work with our product and other technical teams. Creativity and good problem-solving skills are also highly desired.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5 years minimum of professional experience in a software engineering role
• 5 years minimum developing on one of the following cloud platforms: Google Cloud (preferred), AWS, Azure
• 2 years minimum leading engineering teams or managing engineers on projects
• Strong software engineering background, with specific experience designing B2C platforms
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
