In order to achieve our ambitious goals, we are making huge investments in our Data and Analytics functions, and are seeking an Advanced Analytics Manager to join and help lead our growing Data team. In this role, you’ll report directly to our VP of Data and Analytics, and will be the key liaison between our BI, Data/Analytics teams, and key business stakeholders, diving deeply into the many pulleys and levers that drive our business and end user experience. In this role, you’ll own developing and continuously improving processes for analytics tracking, reporting, and ROI measurement, and will present analyses that translate highly complex, technical data into actionable business insights to drive the business forward. You’ll also mentor, develop, and build a currently small but growing team.

What You’ll Do In this Role:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Transfix systems and overall analytics around customer billing, appointment setting, buying practices, end user experiences and processes, levers and pulleys across the supply chain
  • Translate our complex analytics and data into actionable business insights via digestible executive documents and presentations
  • Present insights to executive leadership team and various stakeholders within Transfix 
  • Coach, develop, and recruit to grow a team of BI and Supply Chain analysts; empower them to present findings to the business as needed
  • Establish and maintain a scalable process that tracks and ensures positive ROI on data team’s efforts; deliver multiple successful analysis reports on a quarterly basis, and as needed
  • Own critical business and analytics projects often from scratch to masterpiece (end to end)

How You Know this Role is For You:

  • You love Data and Analytics and you love complex problem solving! 
  • You have 5+ years of analytics experience
  • You have 3+ years of management / leadership experience and are passionate about empowering talented people to tap into their full potential
  • You have worked in consulting as well as within a corporate setting in an operational capacity
  • You understand and can code in Python, R and/or SQL 
  • You have a strong background in Statistics, Programming, and Data Visualization
  • You love being in front of a room and have strong presentation skills. 
  • You may not have all of the solutions, but you know how to use clear storytelling to make non-technical business stakeholders understand problems based on the analytics
  • You love to explain highly complex technical analytics findings to anyone and everyone in a way that gets them just as excited about the power of analytics as you are
  • You’re passionate about the power of analysis, and love connecting analytics to actionable business insights
  • You are curious and full of compassion, but practical - you could live inside of a beautiful dashboard or a powerpoint presentation forever if it weren’t for your love of people

You’re a Mile Ahead If You Have:

  • A degree in the STEM field
  • An MBA
  • Strategic experience within a high growth and/or transforming organization
  • Lean or Six Sigma or Kaizen Certification

  • Note: Our headquarters are based in New York City, and while this role may be fully remote, we are prioritizing candidates who are based in Eastern, Central, and Atlantic time zones.

Location

Transfix's NYC HQ is steps from the Oculus and Fulton Center, with access to subway train lines. We are close to tons of restaurants, shops. We are on the top floor so have wonderful light and breathtaking views, including a spectacular view of One World Trade from our outdoor rooftop deck!
