Better.com is growing, and we’re looking for a Manager, Analytics Engineering to join our Data team. What you’ll work on
As an Analytics Engineering Manager, you will be mentoring and growing a team of Analytics Engineers. Projects that are in scope for your team include:
- Managing and developing our BI tool strategy
- Owning the core data models and KPI implementations for the company
- Defining and implementing our processes for maintaining high quality data and reporting
- Advocating for improvements to data quality, security, and performance
- Designing and communicating internal standards for style, maintainability, and methodologies for a high-scale data infrastructure
- Scaling the team and supporting them in their growth
- Collaborating with data engineers on infrastructure projects and advocating for the business value of applications
Who you are
- You have at least 2 years of experience as a manager, leading and developing a team of data analysts and data engineers
- You have experience leading data infrastructure and data modeling efforts
- You are an active partner and have a strategic approach to crafting process
Better Technology
- The data stack is all in Python 3.7, currently running on AWS Redshift, Airflow, dbt, Looker, etc.
- We do continuous deployment, and we ship code hundreds of times every day.
The Team
- The Analytics Platform team is 5 people and aiming to continue growing considerably throughout the year.
- Our new Chief Technology Officer, Diane Yu, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to our engineering team and technology operation. Prior to joining Better, she was the Co-Founder and CTO at FreeWheel, a technology platform she built from scratch and subsequently sold to Comcast in 2017.
