JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing a team that provides complex data and reporting to better assist management to develop payment acceptance strategy and credit risk decisions. Responsible for creating and producing forecasts, reports, ad hoc requests, dashboards, etc. using credit and debit card transaction data, chargeback data, refund data, authorization data, ACH, Lockbox, EBox, and store payment data, NSF and Admin return data in order to provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities. This role requires thorough understanding of data analysis and methodology and familiarity with payment acceptance methods.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Manage a team responsible for reporting and analysis of various data.
Proactively identify areas of opportunity and/or improvement based on trends in the data, and use these insights to inform new products and/or operational improvements.
Conduct transaction analysis to understand the pricing structure for each type of network transaction and propose solutions to reduce cost.
Collaborate with various departments to optimize payment acceptance processes, maximizing authorizations and minimizing costs.
Manage high visibility projects to identify and resolve issues of strategic importance to the organization.
Interface regularly with senior management to produce timely and valuable results. Conduct complex data analysis in support of a variety of analytic solutions.
Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements.
Integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements.
Create and produce forecasts, reports, ad hoc requests, dashboards, etc.
Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities. Identify anomalies in data that point to payment processing errors, payment interference or processing opportunities. Develop reports and deliverables for upper management and communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
Identify and define data quality improvements.
Create and maintain report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources.
Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis.
Create specifications for reports based on business requests.
Identify opportunities to use data to develop new strategies and improve business performance and utilize knowledge of mathematical modeling and other optimization methods to perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
Review accuracy of all data, results, and conclusions of the team, coaching team members to reach a high data standards.
Perform other duties as requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, straightforward and professional manner
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to make decisions and work collaboratively with others to solve problems
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Expert level knowledge of SQL / SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)
Functional knowledge of TOAD
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in business or related field
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Data analysis and reporting or related experience - 5+
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

1. 5 years in merchant risk, acquiring risk or network risk roles
2. Experience in conducting analysis using network transaction data
3. Understanding of consumer to business payment processes, including Visa/MC, Discover and Amex networks, ACH, lockbox and Ebox
4. Power BI or Tableau
Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Management or leadership experience - 2+
