Since being founded in 2017, June Homes has launched over 550+ units across three cities (New York, DC, Boston) and have successfully closed 3 rounds of funding from top Venture Firms in America.
We are looking for multi-skilled data & analytics practitioners that understand database design, build durable business tracking, develop explanatory and machine learning models, and communicate with the business to power high-velocity decision-making.
You'll search, select and purchase terabytes of data, reports and various surveys to answer questions like:
Where does June Homes need to launch its new properties?
What will be the demand and prices that we can sell our products for?
What’s the supply constraints at that market?
How should we prioritize one city / neighborhood over another?
Requirements:
To build and automate sophisticated mathematical models. You love to play with massive data sets from various sources to uncover surprising truths and opportunities. Your analyses and models will be used to make major decisions about the direction of our core technology.
To dive into June Homes internal and third party data to make strategic recommendations on future growth plans.
Translate ideas and theory into data informed solutions the business can use to grow - we are looking for someone with a practical approach to digging in and doing what needs to be done to get the job done.
Work towards automating your routine work processes, which may include partnering with engineering teams to realize efficiencies and to scale your work for company-wide applications.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of residential real estate (apartment rental) industry and available sources for such data;
Experience of data research, analysis and strategy development for real estate technology companies (e.g. Zillow, Streeteasy, Trulia, Redfin, etc.)
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint) and presentation skills
Results oriented mindset focused on solving complex business tasks vs process oriented;
SQL experience is welcome;
Experience with building large scale data processing system is welcome;
N+ years experience in cloud computing, distributed systems, system automation, machine learning and real time platform.
Strong understanding of the ways in which data science can be used to enhance decision-making and business strategy, with a keen eye to the trade-offs between pragmatism and perfection
