The role will report to the Director of Sales Operations, Trade, and partner with Trade sales functions to identify and improve sales strategy, operation processes, as well as measure and report on the impact of various tactics across the trade program.

This role is highly cross-functional and will liaise with marketing, product, finance, sales, and analytics. The individual will be able to document processes and data findings as well as provide details and present findings to sales management.

The Sales Operations Manager will keep the lead generation arm of the business running smoothly, enhance ongoing running of reports and automate processes as necessary.

 

What you’ll do

  • Contribute to optimization of Salesforce and maintain Salesforce CRM data quality at the highest level to support ongoing decision making, deliver end-user training and drive adoption
  • Assist with continued implementation of territory management strategy and how it informs Salesforce CRM data and day to day operations
  • Create and manage Salesforce dashboards and other ad-hoc reports for the sales organization
  • Execute on a wide variety of initiatives from broad sales strategies to tactical operational improvements
  • Work with multiple stakeholders across the organization (analytics, finance, marketing, product, sales) to recommend and implement changes and improvements to sales operations processes and reporting utilizing Salesforce.com and other tools
  • Gather and monitor sales team performance statistics across multiple KPI categories, analyze data, and provide updates on a regular basis to stakeholders
  • Help to develop and document efficient workflows for multiple processes, manage project timelines, and workflows to enhance organizational effectiveness; including evaluation and project managing implementation of new tools and technologies to improve workflows
  • Partner on key growth initiatives through strategic project management and partnerships with other business functions
  • Prepare and present compelling analytical reports and presentations and effectively communicate (both in writing and verbally) complex concepts to sales team audiences (Trade Relations team, Director of Sales Ops, Sales Manager, General Manager) about sales member individual performance, trends in overall trade sales, customer segments, and performance of campaigns, messages and tactics in driving sales

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative discipline
  • 5-7 years of work experience, with 2+ in a sales operations, finance, consulting, or sales analytics capacity
  • Passionate self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit who is able to work independently and has a proactive work style; quick, flexible thinking; and an open, inquisitive approach
  • A ‘driver’ with a ‘get it done’ attitude
  • Experience managing multiple projects with a sense of urgency; excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills conducive to team development, but able to work independently
  • Balances desire for quantitative rigor with realities of inconsistent business data
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills, as well as ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizational levels and roles
  • Early stage/startup company experience a plus
  • Expert in Excel, comfort with SQL a plus
