We now have an exciting opportunity to bring a Recipe Analyst onboard our US culinary team, based in NY, NY, working specifically on the Martha & Marley Spoon and Dinnerly brands. You will report directly to the Culinary Director. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the food revolution and join our food-tech business as we take our growth to the next level.

Your Job: 

The Recipe Analyst will play a pivotal role in continuing to grow and develop the Martha & Marley Spoon and Dinnerly brands in the US.

  • Support the culinary team by advising on the building of balanced menus each week based on historical data from customers.
  • You will measure, track and analyze weekly skip rates, recipes sales, and customer comments using data and different tracking methodologies to understand the impact of menu offerings.
  • You will build and maintain structured reports for culinary metrics via Excel, Google Sheets and dashboards that reflect key KPIs of individual dish types and show the impact of menu shifts on customer retention and basket size.
  • You will provide insights and recommendations to continually optimize menu performance and drive customer orders with an intention to scale.
  • You will continuously search and build business cases for new culinary opportunities.

Requirements specific to this role:

  • Minimum 2 year of experience in Data Analysis.
  • Completed studies in Business, Statistics or Analytics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience leveraging data and consumer insights to better inform recipe creation and customer targeting.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, G Suite with an understanding of Google Analytics and other analytics tools.

You have:

  • An ability to take initiative, get things done and take ownership but are comfortable asking for help when you get stuck.
  • An analytical mindset, a love of data with the ability to draw the right conclusions.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond.
  • A passion for food and cooking, culinary degree or professional cooking experience a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
