About the role

Redesign Health is looking for a Research Senior Associate. Working with our Research team, you will be involved in all steps of Redesign’s research and prototyping process. Key components of the job will include industry research, early stage ideation, business plan creation and testing. You will interact with Redesign’s functional area heads across Design, Engineering, Marketing, and Legal as you evaluate potential business opportunities. 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze healthcare markets and trends, including identifying imminent start-up disruptors, market leaders and best practices. 
• Interface with external experts and investors to develop idea sourcing strategies.
• Conduct interviews, create surveys, and meet with industry stakeholders to evaluate business opportunities.
• Create initial business reports (an overview of the project objective and hypothesis) for new initiatives. 
• Develop the business model and business plan for new ventures, products and services (including the financial model). 
• Test, validate and sensitize assumptions, and establish key performance indicators for venture outcomes.
• Identify and begin to explore any key partnerships that would be required to launch.
• Assess internal capabilities and collaborate with the design, marketing and engineering departments to define a minimum viable business build (or product / service).
• Assist with assorted strategic analysis and analytical projects for Redesign Health operating companies. 

Relevant Experience:

• Experience in business analysis, business diligence and business plan creation.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience working on multiple projects in cross-functional teams. 
• 2+ years in a management consulting or investment banking role.
• Experience in a private equity or venture capital investing role preferred. 
• Experience or strong interest in healthcare preferred.
• Undergraduate or postgraduate business education preferred.
