We Are:
Seeking a Security Governance Analyst to join our IT team. This is a very exciting time at MSK, as we move forward on our journey through the digital transformation process. As the analyst supporting the Information Security Office, you will be a key member of a team of dedicated information security professionals who are on the front lines in defending MSK from active cyber threats.
You Will:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing information security training, education, and awareness program/activities using a metrics framework that can effectively measure engagement, behaviors, and impact.
  • Determine the impact of changes to the organizational regulatory landscape and work to ensure the Information Security team stays abreast of new regulatory, legal and/or compliance data security requirements.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the Cybersecurity Regulatory & Compliance Management Program, ensuring IT activities, processes, and procedures meet defined requirements, policies and regulations.
  • Execute strategy for supporting internal and external audits, compliance checks and external assessment processes.
  • Interpret applicable laws, regulations, policies, and standards and identify effective ways to apply to the organizational cybersecurity program and its activities.
  • Develop and implement effective cybersecurity training, education, and awareness programs based on achievable, observable, and measurable learning objectives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of role specific education paths for Information Security team members based on current industry standards and organizational strategic/mission requirements.
  • Work with business teams and senior management to find opportunities to apply effective and reasonable governance structures to align risk management and business objectives.
  • Identify and address cyber workforce planning and management issues (e.g. recruitment, retention, and training).


You Have:

  • Experience with Project Management and/or Scrum Coaching is helpful in this position.
  • Experience with Splunk and/or Tableau a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a timely, organized, methodical manner.
