Senior Analyst, Capital Markets

The Capital Markets team is core to OnDeck’s mission and role as a leader in small business lending by enabling us to further originate loans to thousands of small businesses across the country. As a part of a fast growing FinTech, the team functions as both strategic analysts and relationship managers to various internal and external stakeholders.
As a Senior Capital Markets Analyst at OnDeck, you will:
- Participate in the implementation of OnDeck’s financing and capital markets strategy by developing solutions for securitizations, warehouse financing, corporate debt, and other transactions
- Drive our capital markets intelligence and efficiencies by performing complex analyses, and developing financial & forecasting models and monitoring tools
- Build relationships with outside investors, legal teams and rating agencies to communicate OnDeck’s facility and portfolio performance
- Prepare marketing materials and responses to investor requests
- Collaborate extensively with peers & senior executives across OnDeck’s core teams, including with Product, Risk, Credit and FP&A teams on execution of capital markets and other functional strategies
- Monitor & report portfolio performance trends to senior executives and C-suite within the Finance Leadership Team and Asset Liability Committee
- Provide support to the Capital Markets & broader Finance team on strategic projects that are critical to OnDeck’s growth and stability
Necessary qualifications for success:
- A bachelor's degree in business, management, accounting, economics, statistics, information science or similar (MBA a plus)
- 2-4 years of experience working in Financial Services, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Business Analytics, preferably within a lending or insurance institution
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong logical and analytical skills, and the ability to use data to make business decisions
- Understanding of capital markets and corporate finance within a financial lending or insurance institution
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
Nice-to-haves (not required):
- Experience coding in SQL to access data, or willingness to learn
