The ideal candidate will have had experience in a customer-centric environment and is able to identify meaningful insights from customer feedback that helps to drive teams into action. You will report to the Customer Insights Manager based in our New York City office.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the execution of quantitative and qualitative research studies among both Away customers and prospective customers (e.g., surveys, interviews, etc.).
  • Assist with management of research programs among Away’s online customer community, as well as developing communication to keep us in touch with this group of loyal customers.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams in determining research plans that can best answer business questions related to our current customers

  • Guide the end-to-end research processes, from online survey programming and survey email deployment logistics to response analysis and results reporting.

  • Aid strategic research projects, such as customer segmentation and brand awareness tracking, as well as mining insights from existing research and data.

  • Proactively share insights that can guide decision making and serve as a customer advocate and champion.

Who you are:

  • Minimum 2+ years relevant work experience; can be combination of supplier and client experience with consumer research

  • Have experience with methodologies and tools in both qualitative and quantitative research, such as focus groups and in-person interviews, product concept testing, customer satisfaction / NPS research, etc.

  • Are comfortable with writing and reviewing quantitative surveys; experience with survey programming and qualitative in-person interview moderation is a plus

  • Have strong analytical skills, with ability to develop and deliver actionable insights through written and verbal communication

  • Are detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills; can manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively

  • Prefer collaborative working environments and are eager to learn, taking on new and different projects

  • Team player with a "no task is too small" attitude

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

  • Passionate about transforming travel (but that’s a given!)
