Senior Analyst, Revenue Planning - New Products
THE ROLE
The Revenue Analytics team at Peloton uses analytical insights and a deep understanding of the business to accelerate, optimize and forecast membership growth across all sales channels. The team has three functional areas: Revenue Planning, Sales Channel Analytics and Analytics Engineering. We serve as an information and analytical hub for many functions across the business (including the senior executive team, marketing, finance, supply chain, product development and strategy).
We are looking for an all-star team player with a unique blend of strategic thinking, analytical skill and the ability to develop a logical narrative for senior executives.
The successful candidate will join the Revenue Planning team and be responsible for forecasting sales of new products. This will involve collaborating with a broad group of partners across the business, from product engineering to FP&A. The analysis you do and the perspectives you share with company leadership will inform important strategic decisions as we evolve and grow the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own forecasting for Peloton’s new products roadmap. You will discuss these forecasts with our executive team and key cross-functional partners
- Own and evolve bottoms-up forecast models to decompose underlying demand drivers, measure and understand variances in actuals vs. forecast, and ultimately improve forecast accuracy. This feeds into the consolidated forecast that Supply Chain and Finance teams use to make decisions on production/inventory and financial guidance
- Collaborate with and serve as a thought-partner for a variety of stakeholder teams (e.g. Marketing, Product Development, Retail, Supply Chain, Finance) to understand business plans, consolidate inputs, project demand, and gain alignment on forecast assumptions
- Partner with the Sales Channel Analytics team to report on KPIs and analysis/interpretation of trends over time
- Perform deep dives based on first- and third-party data to synthesize insights and understand underlying business drivers/causes to provide recommendations for growth and optimization
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience working in a role requiring modeling, business planning or forecasting (such as FP&A, consulting, investment banking or other quantitative and commercially focused roles)
- Genuine enthusiasm for creating new, structured approaches to solving complex problems
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Ability to discuss your analysis and perspectives with senior executives and facilitate a robust conversation about the underlying methodology and assumptions
- Proactive, thoughtful and highly organized self-starter; able to work independently and under tight deadlines while maintaining impeccable attention to detail
